STARTING OPTIONS
For groups of up to 60 players, a one or two-tee start is recommended and for groups of 60 players or more, a shotgun start is recommended.
FACILITIES
Maungakiekie has a large practice green, chipping green, short-iron practice fairway and green, and indoor driving range available to all corporate guests.
There are two on-course pavilions which provide the ideal base for BBQ and refreshments to be served.
The Maungakiekie Lounge in the club house overlooks the course, offers fully serviced bar and catering facilities and is the ideal setting for prize giving and social activities upon completion of play.
TOURNAMENT FORMATS
The most popular format for corporate days is Ambrose as it maximises the involvement of all players, irrespective of ability, and promotes teamwork. As only one score is recorded per hole, it minimises the amount of time spent looking for lost balls. Individual, partner and stableford competitions may be suitable depending on the groups' golf proficiency.
ETIQUETTE
On the course, it is every player’s responsibility to leave the course in the state that they find it. This involves taking a sand bucket to replace and fill divots, raking the bunker after use and leaving the rakes in the centre of the bunker, repairing pitch marks and keeping carts and trundlers off the tees, greens and areas surrounding the green. Please maintain a reasonable standard of dress whilst on the course. It is the responsibility of the lowest handicapped player in each group to ensure players keep up with the rest of the field.
COURSE SIGNAGE
Basic course signage can be displayed on the golf course and around the clubhouse at no charge. Due to the positioning of course watering systems and potential damage to tees and greens, more elaborate on-course
signage must be erected and removed under the supervision of a member of the Club’s course maintenance staff.

CONFIRMATION REQUIREMENT
Please request a booking sheet from the administration office. This sheet must be completed, signed and returned to the Club along with a $500 deposit. Final playing numbers are to be confirmed 7 days in advance of the event.
CANCELLATION & WET WEATHER POLICY
A refund of the deposit is given if the event is cancelled more than 1 month prior to the day. Cancellation within 1 month of a corporate day will result in the forfeiture of the full deposit. An event may not be rescheduled due to poor weather conditions until the day of the event. On the day, if the course is unplayable due to course conditions or if the weather puts players at risk (lightning), the event may be rescheduled to
another mutually agreed day. Events cannot be rescheduled due to poor weather conditions or lack of cart availability (even if carts have been booked) if the course is playable.
ENDORSEMENTS
‘We held our charity golf day at Maungakiekie Golf Club for the first time in 2015. From the first point of enquiry through to event day, the staff couldn’t do enough for us. They were efficient, really easy to deal with and great problem solvers – so much so, we booked our next golf day before we’d had the first!’
